- Packaging must enhance the product appearance.
- Packaging must increase the perceived value to the customer.
- Packaging must protect the product and make it easy to transport.
- Packaging of luxury products (purchased as a gift) must always enhance the perceived value of the gift. Packaging should NEVER lessen a product’s value or force a gift giver to make enhancements before it is given.

Luxury Items According to Webster
Anything contributing to one’s enjoyment, usually something considered unnecessary to life and health.
Something to Think About…
The vast majority of photographs are purchased for someone else.

Hi there,
I am in the process of doing my website and starting my business. I cannot even begin to tell you how thankful i am to have found this site!
so much invaluable info.. so surprised its free!!
Thank you so much for your time!
one question.. how bout naming packages?
this is one thing i am stuck on at the moment as i dont like the idea of gold, silver packages.. ect..
any ideas on what names to call them that will be appealing to all clients?
thanks again!!
I too really appreciate this site. I was trying to find packaging for my photos and stumbled upon this info. Where i’m from I’ve noticed that photogprahers don’t really pay attention to the packaging of their photos ONLY when its a wedding and now and again when there is a baby dedication. I think that this info is really goin to help me be a step above the rest. Also, are there any companies you can recommend for purchasing photo packaging?
To Tams,
I had the same questions awhile back about trying to name my packages. What I decided to do was choose things related to that category. Lets say the cateogry is Glamour - for the Glamour packages you can use names like ‘Stiletto’, ‘Couture’ etc. Just change it up for each category. You can have fun with the names but still keep it professional.
I hope that helps.
I want to recieve tips on packaging ideas for lingerie products.
Thanks heaps IMA!! that helped heaps and am now on my way. one thing though as the last entry was march and it is now june is it safe to say that someone isnt contributing to this anymore?? I hope not. love this and would be wonderful to see more on here!
